BGANC’s Director Emeritus, Curtis J Ring was born 7/14/31 and entered into eternal peace and rest 06/29/16.
Curtis Ring was instrumental in the development of the Boer Goat Association of North Carolina. His expertise in business management and the goat industry were key to getting the BGANC organized and off the ground. He dedicated many hours, traveled many miles and even volunteered his home to support and promote the BGANC and its directives. Curtis also inspired each of us to push harder, think outside of the box, keep it short and simple (KISS), and never settle for less than the goal. Curtis was a wonderful mentor for the BGANC board of directors.
Not only did Curtis serve the BGANC but Curtis retired from the Air Force as Chief Master Sergeant. After retiring from service to our great country, he continued to serve his community. Curtis worked fervently for his church, Bethel Presbyterian Church, and the McLeansville Wildlife Club. Curtis enjoyed making birdhouses at the elementary schools to teach our youth to appreciate wildlife. Curtis also shared his leadership insights in the credit union industry. Curtis’ leadership through fellowship taught all around him to persevere and to be thankful you are awake and verticle. No matter the condition of the road ahead, every day you get up and go forward. If the road is rough, make it better to the best of your ability; and, if it is smooth, thank GOD for it.
His inspiration and comradery will be missed but never forgotten.
